We all know that you get what you pay for - sometimes we get something for a song, but in the case of custom clothing, well, we aren't talking bargain basement, right? Below you will find information pertaining to most of the costs associated with most of the garments from Enchanted.
PLEASE feel free to shop around - if you find something for half as much, buyer beware and good luck!
General Price Guides
Below is a general price guide for Enchanted products. Deposits are required at the time of measurements, in the amount of 1/2 the estimated price of the finished garment. Since you get to pick your fabric - and fabric prices vary widely - the prices below do not reflect the cost of outer fabric or any other materials not mentioned in "About Enchanted Corsets". Basically, Enchanted covers the drafting and design of the corset, the mock-up and fitting, lining, boning, busk, grommets, and black lacing for the corset, and YOU provide the fabric that the rest of the world sees.
Corsets
Enchanted corsets fall into two basic categories: overbust and underbust.
The above prices include all the standard features mentioned in "About Enchanted Corsets". A corset generally requires about a yard of fabric, more if you have a natural waist of greater than 34".
Extras refer to basically anything that requires additional materials/drafting and therefore, additional time. Extras are priced as follows:
Custom Garments
Custom garments are priced on an hourly basis of $30/hour. How long a garment takes is dependent on how elaborate it is - if you want lace and ruffles and shirring and gathers and swags and skin tight and velvet, well, you are looking at a very expensive garment. If you are looking at getting a basic ballroom style skirt out of taffeta that comes to your ankle and has a wide ruffled hem, you are still looking at about $225, plus the cost of fabric.
Sticker Shock!
Now you may be reeling behind your computer, gasping and choking. Yeah, Enchanted is expensive. Enchanted is also WELL WORTH YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY! If you didn't make it all the way through this site and just skipped to the prices section, let's reiterate what was stated in the "About Enchanted" section. All Enchanted garments are designed and constructed by experienced, skilled seamstresses, and perfectionists to boot. Your buttons will not pop off, your skirt will come to where you want it, your sleeves will be the length YOU consider to be long enough, and whatever you order will be made out of fabric that you like instead of some chintzy stuff that you can just tolerate. Your garment will fit! No one else will have it, and you will feel and look like you own wherever you go. Now swallow hard, and contact Enchanted today!
How Soon Can I Get It?
How long it takes to get your corset / gown / skirt / pants / shirt / moonsuit depends on current demand and the complexity of the garment. As this is a very small business, you can expect a turn-a-round time of at least one month from the time your measurements are taken - longer if you want a ball gown with corset and petticoats or corset with every option and then some. Rush orders are sometimes available depending on how many other orders are in, though there may be a rush fee (see price guide to your left).
Remember the old adage: Good things come to those who wait. And, buy good shit, don't buy it twice!
